The GT-Air series is Shoei's high-end touring full-face helmet with a built-in sun visor. It has won the favor of many riders with its convenience. bold and exquisite styling. and Shoei's exclusive communication system. While inheriting the iconic design of the series. Shoei has improved it. enhanced its performance and functions. and complies with the new ECE R22/06 standard.

In pursuit of higher performance. which is especially important for a touring full-face helmet. the GT-Air 3 features improved ventilation and enhanced integration into the helmet design by reducing the size of the integrated communication system attachment mechanism (as seen in the NEOTEC 3).

Upper air intake:
To further improve ventilation performance. SHOEI repeatedly improved the design of the upper air intake in its own large wind tunnel test site. The shape of the leading edge and bottom ribs and the louver design allow riding wind to flow into the helmet more efficiently. In addition. the newly designed vents are easy to distinguish when opening and closing. which improves controllability.

Top air outlet
The top air outlet is located forward compared to the previous generation product. where the air flow speed is the fastest. thus increasing the air volume. Combined with the upper air intake. the overall ventilation efficiency is improved.

Lower Air Intake
The lower air intake is designed to be easy to operate even with winter gloves. which is also a common design of the GT-AIR series.
The air drawn in from inside the helmet flows inside the helmet shield. acting as a defogger and reducing the fogging of the shield.

In addition to the demisting function. part of the air from the lower air intake is drawn into the mouth when respiratory protection is installed. This makes riding more comfortable in hot weather. A removable filter helps keep insects out.

Visor/Shield
The GT-Air 3 introduces the new CNS-1C shield. now equipped with a center locking mechanism. By placing the shield lock in the center. deflection when opening and closing the shield is minimized and adjustment differences between the left and right shields are reduced. Ribs have been added to the bottom of the shield to increase rigidity to reduce deflection when opening and closing. Combined with the center locking mechanism. smooth visor operation is achieved. In addition. by changing the height of the ribs on the upper part of the shield from 1.0 mm to 1.4 mm. interference with the edge of the window when installing anti-fog film is prevented.  

Visor:
When riding conditions change suddenly. such as when entering a tunnel. the built-in removable visor allows the rider to instantly switch from a smokey view to a clear view. The GT-AIR 3 is equipped with a QSV-2 visor. which has high optical properties and low distortion. and its quality is comparable to the European sunglass standard EN1836.

The inner
fabric is a mixture of moisture-absorbing quick-drying fabric and raised fabric. Moisture-absorbing quick-drying fabric is used on the forehead. cheeks and other areas prone to sweating. Raised fabric is used near the bottom of the helmet where it rubs against the skin when putting on and taking off the helmet. which improves wearing comfort and wear resistance.

Chin strap:
The new micro-ratchet chin strap introduced on the NEOTEC 3 is also used on the GT-AIR 3. It is made of stainless steel and has a safety design that can only be loosened when it is opened to a certain degree or above. This design allows the rider to tighten and untie the chin strap even when wearing gloves. The new chin strap part is made of high-strength. high-elasticity. high-performance fiber. which ensures strength while achieving a narrower design. providing a more comfortable wearing experience around the neck.

Integrated Communication System Connection Mechanism (SHOEI COMLINK)
As a SHOEI COMLINK model. the GT-AIR 3 is equipped with a specially designed communication system connection mechanism. the same as NEOTEC 3. SHOEI COMLINK is a concept of SHOEI helmets that provide a specially designed communication system.

Integration into the helmet design is enhanced by miniaturizing the Bluetooth system. resulting in a low-profile. sleek look. And because the communication system is designed specifically for the helmet. installation is easy without any unnecessary wiring.

Safety
EPS Liner
Impact Absorption Liner provides the most effective overall impact absorption performance by arranging the liner with optimal density in each section.

AIM Shell
: The AIM (Advanced Integrated Matrix) shell uses a multilayer structure of high-strength glass fiber and organic fiber. It is a high-performance shell structure designed exclusively by SHOEI that is lightweight yet rigid and flexible. The safety level of the GT-Air 3 can easily meet the strict standards of various countries. SHOEI always insists on maintaining a unified safety level in each product while pursuing solidity and lighter weight.

The Shoei GT-Air 3 is ECE22/06 certified.

The helmet comes standard with a clear visor and a clear Pinlock® insert.
